Mississippi State Women’s basketball player Chandler Prater has been the goal of online furor after she was involved in the play resulting in USC star Juju Watkins’ season ending injury on Monday night.
Prater, a graduate student in her first season of Bulldogs, seemed to disable her comment section on some of her Instagram posts after exposing a influx of hateful messages after devastating damage watkin’s joints In the first half of their second round match.

According to Clarion-Ledger, Some of the comments aimed at Prater included calling her a “dirty” player.
“Learn how to play the sport without taking and hurting players,” read a post.
“Dirty as hell,” read another. “Stop playing basketball, you’re so A- Don’t you need anything for it?”

Watkins drove down the field as two defenders, including prater, crowded her. She planted her right foot down and her knees bent awkwardly. Watkins immediately grimmed with pain as he grabbed her right knee on the ground.
She was eventually led off the field.
USC said Watkins Would undergo an operation and then rehabilitate but did not clarify the nature of her injury.
Mississippi State was at the receiving end of the quantities -reaction after Watkins’ injury. Even the school’s Cheer team was booed during their half -time benefit.

“They will be behind their homemade. They will go hard for Juju,” said MSU Guard Jerkaila Jordan. “I could do nothing but respect them.”
USC went on to Sweet 16, where they face Kansas State on Friday.
