Islamabad:
Senior Judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, gave Ed as the acting Supreme Court in Pakistan on Saturday in an unprecedented ceremony held at Eid Day in the Supreme Court’s Lahore Register.
The eeden was administered by Justice Ayesha A. Malik, who marked a rare event in which the severe ring of the country’s supreme court office took place outside the federal capital and on a public holiday.
The ceremony participated in the Supreme Court Judge Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Aamer Farooq, Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi. Attorney General Punjab Amjad Perez, together with several senior members in the legal fraternity, was also present.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will act as acting Chief Justice until June 10, during the absence of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, currently in Saudi -Arabia to perform Hajj. Justice Isa is expected to resume his duties at his return next week.
