Justice Mansoor rejects KP chief minister

Islamabad:

Supreme Court Justice Mansoor Ali Shah turned on Wednesday Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who sought the court’s intervention to a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI)-Fund Imran Khan in Adiala prison and tells him he knocked on it “wrong.”

Gandapur appeared in court Shah along with senior PTI leader Advocate Latif Khosa and the KP General Attorney. Khosa requested the court to immediately hear the request for a meeting with founder PTI because of the ongoing budget meeting for the provincial assembly.

Gandapur said the budget approval process was underway in the KP assembly. He emphasized that the party’s vision was important in the budget. He complained that despite his repeated requests, the meeting between the PTI boundary and the provincial budget committee was not arranged.

At this, Justice Shah noted that Chief Justice Yahya Afridi or the Supreme Court registrar should approach. He further stated that Chief Justice Afridi was chairman of the Practice and Procedure Committee, therefore would approach saving time. “You’ve knocked on the wrong door,” said Justice Shah. “We can’t do anything on the legal side Chief Justice Yahya Afridi is in Lahore, so it’s better to go to the justice secretary or Chief Justice,” Justice Shah told the KP chief minister.
