Justice Reforms need ownership of stakeholders: CJP

Islamabad:

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi held an advisory session at the Supreme Court to engage stakeholders and improve the supply of justice services.

The session was intended to seek the participants’ views on reforms specifically and cheap justice, the relief of the litigation and an integrated political approach to oming the country’s legal system.

With regard to the role of bar in the administration of justice, CJP/ President, National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee (NJPMC), claimed that only these reforms produce results that have ownership of stakeholders.

He also said that this meeting was one of the meetings held with stakeholders to get feedback on the agenda for the upcoming meeting of NJPMC.

Participants were informed of the proposed agenda for NJPMC, which included institutional reaction to cases of enforced disappearance.
