Justin Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman has called the legal battle with Blake Lively “Far over” after two litigation filed by the director was rejected in court earlier this week.
The remark came during the lawyer’s interview about TMZ LIVE This Tuesday when asked about Baldoni’s reaction to Tuesday’s verdict.
“What was Justin’s reaction to it? The same as my reaction to it, which is: It’s not fair. It’s not right. I think he’s a person who wants to be justified and that’s all he’s interested in,” Freedman began.
Freedman added that they “were not satisfied” with the judge’s 9th June decision to throw the count and that the legal battle between the two actors is “so far from past, let’s just say that way.”
“He knows who he is. He knows what he has done. He knows what he has not done. And he wants the truth to come out and he will do it in the appropriate way. He is waiting for his day in court where he can speak to tell the truth.”
Freedman doubled their answers to Lively’s sexual harassment and retaliatory complaint against Baldoni and Wayfares Studios and said her accusations are “completely wrong” and that lively is “afraid of the truth.”
“The truth will be shown through deposits, which is what will be next time,” he said, adding that he sent a message to perform Lively’s deposit sometime in June.
“We move on with the case and we will show that there was no sexual harassment and we will show that there was no lubrication campaign. It’s really just so simple. It’s unfortunate to be accused unjustly here,” Freedman said.
Freedman’s statement comes after Lively’s lawyer Mike Gottlieb celebrated victory in an interview on June 9 about Cnn.
“I think today is a message that this kind of retaliatory case that is really designed to dampen and punish people who speak are not working. They will not work. They are not tolerated by our legal system and they will not be successful,” Gottlieb told Host Jake Tapper.
He added that the actress is “determined to see her allegations through and pursue them to have a full public responsibility for what she claimed to happen to her.”
The comments come after Judge Lewis J. Liman proposed on June 9 to reject both Baldoni’s $ 400 million counting against Lively and Reynolds and the trial of $ 250 million against New York Times For his coverage of Lively’s complaint in December 2024.
Baldoni’s legal team has a deadline on June 23 to change the requirements of violation of implied covenant and torture interference in the contract.
