Kaghan Valley attracts tourists in hop time

Kaghan Valley witnessed an overwhelming influx of tourists during Eidul Azha holidays, where approx. 60,000 visitors arrived at the region of 12,000 vehicles and 3,700 motorcycles. The scenic cities of Shogran, Kaghan and Naran were the most important destinations for the holidaymakers.

According to Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), the flow of tourists to the valley continued steadily through the three days of Eid. KDA reported that about 8,000 small vehicles, 4,000 larger vehicles and 3,700 motorcycles entered the valley during this period.

To facilitate tourists, KDA established four tourist facility centers under the special directive of Director -General Shabbir Khan. In addition, the tourist police staff were deployed to manage the traffic flow and help with the disposal of animal waste after Eid to maintain cleanliness in the area.

KDA noted that Kaghan Valley has the capacity to accommodate up to 100,000 tourists. Assistant Director Planning, Asad Shehzad, said DG Shabbir Khan in anticipation of the large crowds had canceled all staff magazines and instructed full -scale operations to ensure even traffic power and extensive support for tourists. Interventions in Naran Bazaar were also removed to prevent overload and improve the visitor experience.

Meanwhile, after the instructions from IGP KP, Mansehra deployed DPO Shafiullah Gandapur 1,500 police personnel in the area.
