Kansas Jayhawks’ disappointing season continued on Saturday with a loss of 78-73 to No. 10 Texas Tech, but Zeke Mayo got a tougher hit out of the field.
Mayo fought in the competition and went 1-for-7 from the floor, including a 0-for-5 clip from three-point soil.
After the game, Mayo X took to blame the loss.

“I 100% deserve all criticism in the world. My performance was beyond pitiful today and has been for a while now. I work my A- outside every day to be big but I can’t be perfect all the time. I’m sorry for our fans and my teammates I will continue to get better,” he released his account when he was disabled.
But with this message came screens of hateful messages, including one that called him a “Recycle Bin can n —–.” Another user asked him to “kill yourself” while another wanted death.
The incident was enough for head coach Bill Self to make a long -standing statement in which he reiterated that he was “proud” of his team.

“The game today was a very good college -basketball game. We played a very good team and we got beaten,” wrote self. “We had some individuals who have unique individual games, and we might not have to play up to the standard they have set for themselves. But everyone on our team, coaches included myself, more than anyone else, had the opportunity to influence the game.”
Even added myself, “I will roll with these guys every day and be proud of it. Any criticism of the team should be directed at me. I am a head coach.”
He ended his statement, “This is the most important time of the season and it is the time when we need to be better, but we also have to be focused on basketball and not things that are said outside the basketball that has absolute zero profits.”

Jayhawks (19-10, 10-8) are in sixth place in the BIG 12, so their big bid is definitely up in the air for the March Madness tournament.
