Karachi Heatwave ends but rising temperatures prevail

The recent heat form affecting Karachi has disappeared, but Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that much of Sindh province may face another match of extreme heat from 24 to 29 April.

According to the early warning center, Karachi is expected to experience hot and increasingly humid conditions in the next three days, Express News reported.

The maximum temperature in the city could reach 39 ° C on Wednesday and hover about 38 ° C on Thursday and Friday.

While Karachi escapes from the heat wave, temperatures in several interior districts are expected to rise significantly over seasonal norms.

The districts that are expected to be most affected include Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Naushero Feroze, Larkana, Sukkur, Jamshoro, Matiari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tea, Badin.

In these areas, temperatures can climb 6 to 8 degrees above average.

Meanwhile, Tharparkar, Umerkot and Mirpurkhas are expected to detect increases of 4 to 6 degrees above normal heights.

The meteorological department has called on residents across the affected regions to take precautionary measures and remain hydrated in peak -stressed afternoon hours.

The elevated temperatures are likely to continue until the beginning of next week.
