Karachi: A fire broke out in a mall on Rashid Minhas Road in Karachi in the early hours on Wednesday.
Chief four officer Humayun Khan who speaks to Pakinomist Newssaid the fire had started on the roof of the building and spread to the fourth and third floors, as house stores.
He noted that some difficulties were confronted during surgery due to a lack of water and that eleven fire -department vehicles and two snorkels participated in the fire fighting efforts.
Rescue officials confirmed that the fire had destroyed the roof and the third floor of the mall that affected stores and offices. Fire was also present on the second and first floors, but with less intensity.
Residents of the adjoining residential building were evacuated for safety and no damage was reported. The housing building remained according to rescue officials.
The fire was brought under control after four and a half hours.
Earlier this month, a fire broke out in a factory located in Landhi Export Processing Zone during the early hours of the day that spread quickly and shrouded three nearby factories due to the presence of combustible material, according to rescue 1122 officials.
Firefighters sustained damage after part of the building collapsed; The incident was declared a “third degree” fire. The wounded KMC fires were immediately moved to the hospital.
