A vibrant rainbow appeared over parts of Karachi on Thursday evening after heavy rains, providing a rare and striking sight after a day of severe weather.
The phenomenon was seen in several areas, with this photo taken from the Saadi Town area showing a full arc stretching across the skyline as the clouds began to clear.

The rainbow appeared shortly after intense downpours lashed the metropolis, which had previously caused disruptions including water logging and traffic jams in several areas.
Meteorologists say such rainbows form when sunlight breaks through moisture-laden clouds and breaks up light droplets in the atmosphere, which often form after heavy rain showers subside.
Residents took to social media to share photos and videos of the mesmerizing view, describing it as a moment of calm after the storm and a welcome sight amid the city’s rain-related challenges.
