Karachi: In yet another gloomy reminder of the city’s deteriorating traffic conditions, three motorcyclists lost their lives in separate road accidents on Sunday.
Near Jauhar mother, a quick cement mixer car collided with a motorcycle and killed 25-year-old Abdul Saboor on site.
Angry from the accident set a furious mob the truck on fire and got police intervention. Authorities arrested the truck driver from the stage.
In another tragic incident in Liaquatabad # 10, a dumped truck hit a motorcyclist deadly, while a car in Keamari in Keamari crashed on a bicycle and claimed another life.
So far this year, Karachi has witnessed at least 207 traffic -related deaths, with 2,623 people getting injuries. Among these fatalities were 64 caused by heavy vehicles, including 17 of dumpers, 22 after trailer cars, 12 of water tankers and 13 of passenger buses.
Despite repeated demands from the traffic police and the city administration of measures to limit accidents, mortal crashes continue to plague Karachi’s roads.
