Lahore:
The Karakoram motorway has been reopened after landslide blocked some sections of the critical route after a massive rockfall at Lotar in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s top Kohistan district left thousands of passengers stranded on both sides of the road.
According to GBDMA, continuous rainfall has triggered heavy cliffs at 1 p.m. KKH is the only route that connects Gilgit-Baltistan with the rest of Pakistan in winter, making the closure a serious disturbance for residents, dealers and travelers.
