Kate Middleton sent a strong message about the future while tropping the color this year.
Royal expert Jennie Bond noted that the princess of Wales was not at the parade just as one of the most senior royal, but also as the colonel of the Irish guard.
The future Queen took her place next to King Charles and Queen Camilla on the slide.
“I also thought it was very important to see Catherine on Dais with the king and the queen,” Jennie said.
She added, “It was a very powerful picture of our next queen with her father -in -law, who has made no secret to the respect he has for Catherine, especially after the cancer journey they have shared. It certainly gave you the feeling that the royal life is largely back on track after the scary last 18 months.”
It is worth mentioning that Kate could not take her role as a colonel in the Irish guards last year due to her cancer treatment.
In particular, Prince William was standing next to his father on a balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace this year, while Kate was invited to stand next to King Charles last year.
“I think the fact that William was standing next to his father on the balcony was a signal that things are returning to normal,” Jennie said of the future king.
She added, “Last year was an exception in which the princess of Wales undertook her first public duty since her cancer diagnosis, and I think the king showed her special support to her by asking her to stand with him. But today it was the right order, and in a way it was quite reassuring.”
In particular, the expert also noted that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were on their “best behavior.”
