TV personality Katie Price has revealed the staggering upfront costs she faces for car insurance after being banned from driving six times, leaving her virtually uninsured.
Performing at Rob Moore’s Interfering substances podcast she revealed that “no insurance company will insure me; they want £150,000 down and £8,000 a month.”
The author of Reborn has shared that her driving history has made insurance companies unwilling to insure her, but she still qualifies for car rentals.
Price added, “I went to Enterprise and said, ‘I want the biggest Jeep, the nicest car you’ve got. They’re like, ‘Yeah, we got one; we got a Nissan Jeep.’ “I said, can I have it in black, and is it automatic? They went, yeah, we’ll see. Have you got your driver’s license?”

“I went, what, I can get a Nissan? They went, yeah! They’re looking at me like they’ve never seen anyone so happy in their life,” she recalled.

She was also given a 16-week suspended sentence for drink driving while disqualified and without insurance.
At court, the prosecutor stated that the Hurricane crooner had been banned from driving five times before.
The Comeback Girl the author was also fined £880 in March 2024 for driving a Range Rover on the A14 bypass in Kettering, Northamptonshire, without insurance or a valid licence.
It is pertinent to mention that Katie Price has 28 days to pay £1,852 for the offenses she committed on the A14 at Kettering on 2nd August 2024.
