Kazakh DPM Murat Nurtleu arrives at Pakistan on two-day visit

Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to Pakistan on Monday, Radio Pakistan reported.

He was received at the airport by additional secretary (West Asia) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Syed Ali Asad Gillani, along with other senior officials. Nurtleu is accompanied by a thirteen-member delegation.

This important visit comes in front of the planned visit by the president of Kazakhstan to Pakistan in November. On the sidelines, they meet joint working groups about agriculture and that will take place as well.

During his stay, the Kazakh DPM will have a tête-à-tête with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, followed by conversations at the delegation level. He is also expected to encourage President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Discussions will provide an opportunity to review the preparations for the upcoming presidential visit and that extensive awareness of the full range of PAK – Kazakh bilateral cooperation. The agenda will focus especially on trade and investment, agriculture, education, cultural and tourism, regional connection and logistics as well as collaboration on multilateral forums.

The visit is expected to further cement many years of relationship between Pakistan – Kazakhstan and elaborate bilateral engagements in different areas to mutual benefit to the population of both countries.
