Former ESPN and MSNBC host Keith Olbermann expanded his torrent of controversial attacks on social media this week, this time aiming for current ESPN star Stephen A. Smith.
Smith weighed in on ABC’s decision to pull Jimmy Kimmel out of the air for the recent comments about Charlie Kirk’s murder, during an episode of his podcast on Thursday. Smith criticized his Walt Disney Corporation -College Kimmel.
“Where was the joke? Because you are a late-night host-and obviously it has a comic attachment to it. Where was the joke? It was clear, it wasn’t fun about it,” Smith said of Kimmel’s joke that got him pulled out of the air.
Olbermann condemned Smith for criticizing Kimmel and hinting that the sports pound “prostitutes to the right wing.”

“Just add you to what has been true for years: [Stephen A. Smith] is an F — ing idiot. And now he smells money that prostitutes himself and collaborates with the right wing, “Olbermann wrote in a post about X.
Olbermann has been under control in recent days for a controversial X post targeted at Kirk and Sinclair Broadcast Group, which criticized Kimmel.
Olbermann replied to Sinclair’s statement that said that Kimel’s suspension From his ABC show was “not enough.”
Sinclair urged ABC to broadcast a memory for Kirk instead of Kimel’s show after the conservative influencer was shot and killed last week.
“Burn in Hell, Sinclair,” Olbermann wrote on X. “Together with Charlie Kirk.”
Social media users slammed Olbermann’s post.
The former MSNBC -speaking head continued to share thoughts about the Kimming situation. He referred to the comments that led to Kimmel’s discipline, sending that “nothing Jimmy Kimmel said was untrue.”

On Monday, Kimmel accused the Conservatives of reaching “new low lower” in an attempt to establish a leftist ideology on 22-year-old suspect Tyler Robinson, though prosecutors confirmed these ties in Tuesday’s indictment.
“We hit some new low low over the weekend with the Maga Band, desperately trying to characterize this child who murdered Charlie Kirk as something other than one of them and does everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said.
While criticizing Kimmel’s attempt at joke, Smith expressed sympathy for “the comedian,” but still insisted that Kimel’s antagonism towards President Donald Trump is not “wise.”
“To hear the news of Jimmy Kimmel was taken off the air, I wasn’t happy about it. Not at all,” Smith said. “Because I think he is a good man. I think his heart is in the right place. I think he has performed an incredible service for the ABC and the Walt Disney family that spans decades.
“I certainly hope he will eventually end up on the air, and if he doesn’t end up on the air, I hope he lives a very long and prosperous life.
“When it is said all this does not mean that I do not have the right to say that what happened between him and [President Donald Trump] didn’t seem to be the wisest movement in the world. “

Kimel’s comments came one day after both the FBI officials and the Utah government Spencer Cox said Robinson held a “leftist ideology” and was increasingly radicalized in recent years. It was also revealed that he had a romantic relationship with a transgender partner who was biologically male and switched to her.
Kirk, 31, was shot and killed last week while talking at an event at Utah Valley University. Thousands of people have taken care of his death in vigilance throughout the United States
Kirk’s funeral is ready for Sunday in Glendale, Arizona.
