Kelly Clarkson is back on social media almost a month after the tragic death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

The 43-year-old singer went to her Instagram grip on Thursday and reflected on her American Idol victory in 2002.

“To anyone who took time 23 years ago to call in and vote for me, thank you. Winning ‘American Idol’ changed my life, and I would be eternally grateful to all of you who have supported me for so many years,” Caption on the caption and shared a Throwback picture from Season 1 final episode.

The Instagram post comes almost a month after the death of ex-husband, Brandon.

The music director breathed his last on August 7, at the age of 48, after a year -long battle of cancer.

A day earlier, the TV host had canceled her August Las Vegas shows in the midst of Brandon’s illness.

“I’m genuinely sorry for everyone who bought tickets for the show, and I then appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,” she tied on her Instagram at the time.
