Khadija Shah challenges 9 May conviction in LHC

Lahore:

Khadija Shah, a Pakistan Tehreek-In-Insaf (PTI) supporter, has filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court (LHC) who contested the five-year judgment that was handed down to her in connection with a case derived from the riots on May 9.

In her petition, Shah claimed that the trial sentenced her in violation of the law and claimed that the court failed to properly assess the facts and continued with conviction despite not being present on the crime scene.

According to the trial of the trial, Shah was accused of involving having burned a government vehicle near Jinnah House under the riots.
