In a cruel incident, Ziarat -assistant Commissioner (AC) Muhammad Afzal and his son have been killed by kidnappers on Sunday. The victims were abducted last month from the Zizri area of the Ziarat district of unidentified guns.
The kidnappers recently released a video in which the hostages were watched that pleaded with authorities to take immediate measure for their release, otherwise their captured by killing them.
Ziarat -vice Commissioner Zakaullah confirmed that AC and his son were kidnapped by the terrorists on August 10th. A bounty of RS50 million was announced to the information that led to the identification or arrest of the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the killing and called the slain officer and his son ‘martyr’. He praised AC’s services and offered compassion to the deprived family and said that Afzal achieved martyrdom while performing his official duties.
The minister said the slain AC was a dedicated and hard -working officer who would always be remembered. He added that the murders would not escape the law.
