King appears on Palace Balcon with Royals in Show of Unity

The Norwegian royal family appeared on the palace Balcony in Oslo in a show of unity to mark the country’s national day (Constitution Day) on Saturday.

A picture with King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra was shared into the family’s Instagram account with caption, “from the castle’s balcony, greeted the royal couple and the Crown Prince family Children’s Train in Oslo.”

According to the headline, “more than 26,000 children from 109 schools participated in the children’s train in Oslo.”

May 17, Constitution Day marks a national holiday that commemorates the signing of the Norwegian constitution in 1814.

The royal family participates in traditional festivities, including greeting to the children’s parade from the balcony of the Royal Palace in Oslo.

Earlier in the day, pictures of Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were shared separately on Instagram as they gathered outside the palace to witness children’s parade.
