There is a general rule and non-marketable in Buckingham Palace, which is the king’s non-convertible.
This has been revealed under a Channel 5 documentary and relates to meals.
As per the DOC titled Royal Residences: A Map Of Britain“There are 450 watches in Windsor Castle and they all need to be changed by hand.”
And out of all these watches, one “in the kitchen at Windsor Castle is always kept five minutes fast just to make sure the monarch’s food is always on the table in time,” according to royal expert Emily Andrews.
With regard to the care of these watches in question, the royal family has employed almost three people who administer them around the year.
Mrs. Jennie Bond claims it takes over 16 hours to move these watches accordingly, “Every spring and every fall.”
This is only the case for Windsor Castle because in other homes, like the King’s London home, there are over 350 watches, while the Palace of HolyroOmse has about 50. In total it takes over 30 hours from start to finish.
