King Charles and Queen Camilla sent a heartfelt message to congratulate Team GB and athletes across the Commonwealth following the Paralympic Winter Games in Milan Cortina, Italy.
Sharing the note on Instagram this Sunday, His Majesty praised the incredible performances of medal winners from Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
“As the Paralympic Winter Games draw to a close, my wife and I send our deepest congratulations to all the medal winners,” the king wrote.
He praised the athletes’ extraordinary determination, commitment and the tireless dedication of their support team.
The message also recognized all participants from across the Commonwealth, many of whom competed despite significant personal challenges.
Duchess Sophie was on the ground supporting the athletes with her husband, Prince Edward, patron of the British Paralympic Association.
The Duchess is a dedicated supporter of Team GB and ParalympicsGB and often attends major sporting events to cheer on British competitors.
Princess Anne also sent her best wishes to the team, reinforcing that royal support for British Paralympics runs deep in the family.
