King Charles and Prince William have reportedly made a big decision for Kate Middleton as the Princess of Wales will celebrate her 43rd birthday on Thursday.
The Queen-to-be celebrates her 43rd birthday on January 9 after an incredibly difficult 12 months.
January 9 also marks the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, who died at the age of 100 on December 29, 2024.
According to reports, King Charles has chosen to send his youngest brother, Prince Edward, to represent Britain at the service at Washington National Cathedral.
The Daily Express reported that Prince Edward is set to travel to the US this week to attend the state funeral of former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday.
Earlier it was expected that Prince William would have traveled to Washington for the service in honor of the 39th president.
However, according to Mirror, William’s focus is firmly on his family and the Prince of Wales reportedly made it clear he wanted to be with his wife on her special day to ensure it remains a family affair.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told OK!: “This birthday will be memorable in so many ways – it will mark the start of a new and hopefully happier year and the end of one that has been brutal for the whole family.”
