Islamabad:
British King Charles expressed his deepest compassion for the people of Pakistan after the devastating monsoon flooding and a tragic helicopter accident during rescue operations.
The king said, “My wife and I are desperately sad to learn about the tragic loss of life and widespread destruction … Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with all those who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods.”
When we highlight the strong bonds between the two nations, the king added: “We are particularly aware of the enduring ties between our nations and of the many families in the UK with close ties to Pakistan.”
