King Charles has made a big decision on former football legend David Beckham in the midst of reports of his rift with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry about friendship with Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn.
Speculation as to whether David would receive that the honor was swirling ever since King Charles rose to the throne.
Now, in the end, David Beckham, who shares close ties with the royal family, gets a knight’s closet next week as part of King Charles’s birthday celebration.
According to a report from GuardianDavid Beckham will be named in King Charles III’s birthday cheater list and will take the title SIR.
David’s wife, Victoria Beckham, fashion designer and former Spice Girls member, takes the name Lady Beckham.
David Beckham received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 2003 and is said to have only been put forward for a knight in 2011, after helping London win his bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games.
The report also states that the former football legend was blocked to receive the title after being implicated in a tax evasion scheme, which he was cleared four years ago.
