King Charles praised for being appropriate response to Heckler

King Charles was recently confronted with an anti-monarchy demonstrant during his visit to the Newmarket with wife Queen Camilla.

The king’s answer to the question has given rise to mixed reaction to social media, where his followers praised him to keep his cool in light of an expected situation.

According to the local media, the king and his wife met members of the public on High Street when a man asked him, “Why does your family cost us half a billion pounds a year, Charles?”

The king, escorted by guards and helpers, simply nodded and said, “Ah, yes,” before moving on to another group of people.

The protestor then continued, “Why do you only pay your gardeners minimum wages?”

The video also shows that his followers offer cry for encouragement, including “You are my king!” and “God bless your majesty!” Like Charles and Camilla shaking their hands.

In comments on the clip, Republic’s CEP said: “Many people are unhappy with the way Royals are funded. Most people think they cost too much.”

He added, “when so many people struggle with the cost of living, knowing that we pay Charles £ 27 million from Duchy funds and that he pays the minimum wage to some of his staff is too much for the stomach.”

Meanwhile, activists belonging to the anti-Monarchy group, Republic, kept posters enrolled with slogan’s “Not My King” during the Royal Pair’s visit.
