King Charles is told that on his own he can get out of Donald Trump in a difficult position with an important move.
His Majesty is tilted to participate in Canada’s state opening of parliament as Trump decides to wage a trade war with the country.
Former Conservative MP Andrew Percy, who is based in Vancouver, said to the Daily Mail, “It would put Trump in a really difficult position. He will accept a state visit with the king and at the same time threaten and show contempt and respect for Canada – where [Charles] is the monarch. “
This is in the midst of King Charles’ open invitation to Trump for a state visit to Britain, an unprecedented step on part of the monarch after Potus recently left after meeting British Prime Minister Kier Stormmer.
Trump is famously pleased with the British royal family. He paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II in a long note to Dailymail when she died in 2022.
In his tribute, he mentioned that the Queen’s death is a ‘loss that feels by billions around the world, and get figures in history’ exemplified fully traits of dignity, steadfastness, determination, duty and patriotic devotion. ‘
Trump added, “spending time with Her Majesty was one of the most extraordinary honors of my life.”
“I grew up in a household where Queen Elizabeth – her grace, her charm, her nobility – was deeply admired, especially by my mother coming from Scotland,” he shared.
“The times we spent with the Queen at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle are memories Melania and I will cherish the rest of our lives,” he noted
