New York Knicks’ main training search seems to be in full swing.

After making the surprising decision to share ways with Tom Thibodeau, Knicks now looks at Jason Kidd as a potential candidate to replace the franchise’s fourth winning coach.

According to ESPN Vetter Knick’s actively Dallas Maverick’s head coach Jason Kidd.

Since Kidd is under contract with Mavs, Knicks had to submit a formal request to speak to the Dallas coach. Knicks has not yet requested permission to interview Kidd, sources told ESPN.

Kidd was reportedly interviewed with Knicks in 2020, but Thibodeau got the job. Thibodeau led Knicks to their first eastern conference finale since 2000. Indiana Pacers eliminated New York in six matches.

Kidd spent the last season of his long NBA career with Knicks.

Before taking Mavs’ main coach job, Kidd Coaching had stints with the nets and bucks. He also served as assistant coach for Lakers from 2019-21.
