But that was the result of Boston not doing a shot from the floor in the fourth quarter since the Payton Pritchard’s three-point with 8:40 back in the game. Yes, for more than eight minutes Celtics, despite getting a wide open look, couldn’t make one go.
Meanwhile, Mikal Bridges, who again was a defensive hero in this, had 14 fourth quarter points to help Knicks’ comeback. But it was Jalen Brunson’s Step-Back to-Point over Jrue Holiday that gave Knicks their first lead since and Anunoby’s opening three to start the game.

The 87-86 Knicks lead came on the two-minute mark, and both teams knew it would be down on the cord again. With 18.1 seconds on the clock, Jayson Tatum Coast drove to the coast, weaved around the knicks and threw a can of Boston a light 90-89 margin.
At the other end, however, Brunson was buried by vacation and had two free kicks to regain the lead. He spiked both, and it was down to another defensive possession for New York. For Boston, they simply hoped that one of their stars would come through and save the victory.

But Tatum was greeted by several knicks as he tried to go to the hanger, and just as he got up for a baseline jumper, Bridges surprised him with his long wing buckle and caught the ball away to win.
Bridges did almost the same thing in play 1 as he took a passport away from Jaylen Brown to ice victory.
Knicks certainly did not have the best offensive performance, especially Brunson in comparison to his usual production. He scored 17 points on 6-of-19 shooting from the field, while New York shot 43% and 29% from deep as a team.

However, Boston had another tough night on the offensive end and hit only 10 of his 40 three-point attempts. They missed 45 in play 1 and now added another 30 to the series in total. As a team, Celtics shot only 36.2% off the field.
The game 3 will be played at Madison Square Garden on Saturday with a at. 15.30 a tip-off.
