As attacks appear to have intensified within the party’s top ranks, senior Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) leaders Asad Qaiser and Shahram Khan Tarakai on Friday on Friday the party’s central leadership to investigate a statement from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and managed Pti-Statter Imran Khanes Stance.
In a statement that quickly gained traction on social media, the former National Assembly’s speaker called Asad Qaiser KP CM to prioritize governance, restore law and order and work to ensure the release of IMRAN Khan and other imprisoned party workers.
Qaiser’s remarks came a few hours after Gandapur claimed he was in conversations with the establishment of a personal trait.
“We reserve the right to respond to KP CM’s statement, but prefer to avoid such questions in the country’s interest and PTI founder Imran Khan,” Qaiser said on social media.
“We must not jeopardize our struggle for Imran Khan’s release by participating in unnecessary discussions about internal party -affairs.”
Meanwhile, PTI Mna Shahram Khan Tarakai repeated similar concerns and called on the party’s central leadership to investigate Gandapur’s comments and current Imran Khan’s attitude clearly before the public.
He emphasized that PTI leaders should remain focused on securing Khan’s release and advocating for other detained party members.
It is relevant to note that Gandapur on Wednesday, when cracks were expanded within PTI’s top ranks, Gandapur met the party party -founder Imran Khan along with a help.
Later, media reports suggested that Imran reportedly had Gandapur to engage with establishment, but strictly within the Constitution and the law.
On Thursday, however, KP government spokesman Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif shot down these reports and rejected claims that Imran had entrusted him and Gandapur to negotiate with the establishment.
The clarification came in the midst of a flurry of speculation on both mainstream and social media, where reports suggested that IMRAN had awarded KP CM and Barrister Saif to the spearhead with establishment during a recent meeting in Adiala Prison.
After April 2, the rumors swirled that KP CM and his aid had persuaded the PTI founder to return to the negotiating table, after which IMRAN allegedly gave them the green light to continue.
