Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has promised to take a permanent stand for the province’s rights and warn that any powerful act against them would have consequences.

When he spoke at an event, CM Gandapur demanded that the federal government paid RS2 trillion in unique hydropower charges and said KP would not compromise on its rightful share of resources.

The Minister of Main criticized the delays in the National Finance Commission (NFC) prize and argued that repeated ordinances were used instead of correct consultation.

He called on the federal government to initiate negotiations on a fair revenue sharing formula.

Gandapur also highlighted the financing deficit following the merger of the previously federally administered tribal areas (FATA), stating that the KP’s population had risen by 5.7 million, but financial support was back inadequate.

“The federal government was to give 600 billion RS over six years, but we only received RS132 billion. Since July, no funds have been allocated, ”he said.

KP CM accused constitutional ignoring of previous national crises and warned that no lessons had been learned of Pakistan’s history.

He said a lack of confidence between the government and the people damaged tax collection and financial stability.

He also signaled possible political action after Ramadan and said, “I give you this time out of respect for Ramadan. Then we will give you a surprise. “

Gandapur’s remarks come in the midst of growing tensions between KP and the federal government, where the province requires greater economic autonomy and transparency in the distribution of resources.

Last week, in what seemed to be a boasting competition, the provincial governments proclaimed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) their “big” performances as they diminished each other’s work, with the last minister of the latter who challenged the main minister of the former to the former for a debate.

KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced to distribute free laptops among students in KP, a step initiated by various PML-N LED governments. He said his government would give the same percentage of students with laptops as the Punjab government.

On the other hand, he urged Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz to offer free health cards to the citizens, just as the KP government had done.

“Our government provided the entire population with Sehat Card Plus and now offers life insurance. The Punjab government also had to expand these facilities to its entire population,” he said.

Gandapur claimed that, despite challenging circumstances, his government had increased revenue by 55% and called on Punjab to raise his revenue from 12% to 55%.
