Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday announced the main money ranging from RS3m to 30 million. For 14 terrorists involved in recent violence in the Kurram district.
Kurram has been wrapped up with violence for decades, but about 150 people have been killed in a fresh campaign that started last November when two separate convoys traveled during police escort were assaulted, leaving 40 people died.
In a statement, CTD claimed that the defendants were involved in the assimilation of over 200 people, adding that all terrorists were associated with the forbidden Tehreek-in-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Meanwhile, CTD also released their photos and names and said that a monetary reward would be given to the citizens who provide credible information about the defendant.
“Terrorists are involved in looting, arson, siege and killing of children and women,” added CTD.
It also said that the defendants were involved in sectarian violence in KP’s Kurram district.
In a setback to the peace efforts in the residual region, assistant commissioner (AC) by Boshehra was wounded as a result of firing unidentified attackers in January.
However, after law enforcement efforts were restored, and significant supplies also began to enter Kurram, which was cut off from the rest of the country for months.
As part of the peace efforts, 25 more bunkers were torn in the upper and lower parts of Kurram last month, raising the number of broken trenches to 80. The process of settling tribal bunkers began after the peace agreement.
On the other hand, the provincial disaster control authority District Coordinator Shiraz Bacha said the distribution of compensation control was underway for the families of Bagan victims and passenger cars.
Additional Vice -Commissioner (Relief) Maqsood Khan Distributed Checks worth RS1 Millions each to the families to 14 more victims. So far, the RS60 million in compensation had been distributed among victims of terror -related incidents in Kurram, while data collection for other affected persons was still underway.
