Peshawar:
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has strongly against any military operation in the province, categorically rejecting the distinction between “good” and “bad” Taliban and condemning the use of “drone strikes” on its territory.
The provincial government’s announcement came when CP chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur turned to a media briefing after hosting a camera in all parties (APC) in Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar.
The conference participated in members of the provincial cabinet, MPAs and representatives of various political parties, including JI, JUI-S, PTI, QWP and PTI parliamentarians, as well as former KP wrappers Shaukatullah and Shah Farman.
The participants at the meeting were informed of the current law and order situation in KP and the provincial government’s efforts to limit terrorism in the province.
The minister noted that the federal authorities and their security forces must protect the boundaries, while the provincial police are fully able to fight terrorism within KP.
“We have repeatedly said that there is no room for good or bad Taliban in the province. People who carry weapons under the name of any institution are not allowed to remain in the province,” he claimed.
“Those who support good Taliban must immediately expel them from the province. They are the reason why the gap between the government, the public and the state institutions is expanded,” he added.
APC issued a joint action plan that outlined several key points, including an expression of solidarity with families for terrorist victims.
The conference called for intelligence -based operations (IBOs) to eliminate Khawarij and restore long -term peace in the province.
All political parties, strange elders, public, KP governments, administration and law enforcement authorities confirm their obligation to take crucial and arbitrary action for lasting peace and elimination of terrorism, the common action plan reads.
The briefing of the media about the current law and order situation announced to the minister of chief that Jirgas will be held in each tribal district and that a magnificent Jirga will be called in in 15 days.
“Operation is not a solution to any problem and has not produced any significant results. (Both) security forces and civilians have suffered losses as a result of the operations. We send a clear message that we will not allow any surgery in our province, nor is any such action acceptable to us,” Gandapur said.
“Drone strikes [are also] Unacceptable, as even terrorists have begun to use drones, and put ordinary citizens at risk. “
The Minister of the Minister declared that the provincial government would recruit 300 police officers in each tribal district through local stems to strengthen the law enforcement capacity.
The minister also aimed at the federal government and said that promises made during the NFC prize have not been met. “Our provincial assets belong to the province and cannot be transferred to any other authority.”
He rejected any “federal overreaction” through proposed legislation such as miner and mineral proposal.
Gandapur condemned the introduction of taxes in former FATA and PATA, which he said violates repeated provincial demands. “We do not accept these taxes and will not cooperate with the federal government on their implementation,” he said.
He also opposed to transform the Frontier Constabulary (FC) into a federal strength and announced that the province will challenge the move in court and note that KP was not heard about the decision.
By taking a ironing against federal officials, the minister said: “(DPM/FM) Ishaq Dar lacks competence to effectively advocate for this province. (Interior Minister) Mohsin Naqvi understands only cricket and airmen. He has no knowledge of KP’s quarters.”
Gandapur also criticized political parties who booted APC and said they lack the courage to meet the conference’s decisions and indirectly encourage chaos and terrorism. However, he maintained that the KP government remains open to dialogue. “Our doors are still open to them. If they want to renegotiate or renegotiate for the sake of the province, we’re ready.”
At Afghanistan, Gandapur said the global community has accepted the Afghan government and a constructive commitment is now needed.
