Islamabad:
A recently confirmed polio case in KP has raised the total polio cases this year to 18, said the regional reference laboratory for polio -depletion at the National Institute of Health on Friday.
The latest case involves a 10 -month -old boy from Tank, the 11th case from KP in 2025.
The Pakistan Polio expulsion program warned that any unvaccinated child remained in danger and could contribute to the spread of the virus. It said the only effective protection against polio was repeated oral polio vaccine doses for each child under five in each campaign along with timely essential immunizations.
