Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said his government will not forcibly deport Afghan nationals from the province.

He turned to a press conference in Islamabad and said, “If anyone Afghan will return voluntarily, we will ease them, but no one will be expelled by force.”

He emphasized that sustainable peace in the region is impossible without stability in Afghanistan, adding that the current turmoil stems from “our deficient policies” that forced people to take weapons, reported Express News.

Gandapur said that reconstruction of trust and ensuring peace in Afghanistan and border areas is critical of regional stability. “We will not deploy power. Neither the provincial police nor the administration will postpone anyone. Instead, we will set up camps to help those who want to return voluntarily,” he added.

KP CM, which criticizes the federal government, said Pakistan’s foreign office is instructing conversations with Afghanistan, but the federal policy of Afghan refugees is “fundamentally deficient.”

Whether terrorism claimed Gandapur that Pakistan is facing violence, partly because it is an Islamic state, and “the region is where Ghazwa-E-Hind is expected.”

He linked terrorism to international interests and said the US-Pakistan agreements had pointed to the region’s rich mineral resources, after which violence intensified.

He concluded by stating that negotiations with Afghanistan should be in Pakistan’s interest and must be pursued if a viable path arises.
