Kylie Jenner is slammed on social media for her attitude while greeting Sir Elton John at the 2025 Academy Awards.

During a commercial break, Kylie was introduced to Elton by her Oscar-nominated girlfriend Timothée Chalamet.

The dune star embraced the legendary musician while Kylie was sitting behind him. Then he turned around to introduce Cold heart Hitmaker to her.

However, Kylie couldn’t stand up to greet the icon and only shook hands with him while he was sitting. Like Gentleman, Elton took his hand and bent to kiss it.

This didn’t really sit with users of social media watching a video of the incident.

“Oh no no, you’re standing up for Sir Elton John!” Instagram -User @ashleyimholte fired in a comment on people’s video of the awkward meeting.

“It’s Sir Elton John,” noted Instagram -user @mscakes2013. “You stand when you are met for him.”

I have no problem with Kardashians at all, but get up when I am introduced to someone, especially Sir Elton John. I mean come on … he is a living legend. It just didn’t really sit with me, ”wrote @macabre.heart.

Countless other commentators repeated the same feelings and called Kylie out not to get up while greeting a legend like Sir Elton John.
