A former Team USA -Basketball Guard hopes to play for another Los Angeles Olympics 2028.
Kyrie Irving, Dallas Mavericks superstar, who won a gold medal with Team USA in Rio -Ol 2016, as well as the World Cup in 2014, was asked if he would play for Australia in the next summer matches.
Irving was born in Melbourne, Australia, while his father played professional ball down.

“We’re in the process of it right now,” Irving, 32, told journalists during the NBA All-Star Weekend. “Just trying to find out what will be the best route for me to be eligible. There’s a lot of paperwork in between.”
Irving is not trying to an easy team US, especially considering that he did not play with them in the Toyko Olympics in 2021 or this last year’s Parisol.
He will be 36 years old when the 2028 game tip is off, and it is not a guarantee that he will make Team US always potent list. Meanwhile, Team Australia probably wouldn’t have less competition, and having a nine-time all-star on its list would be a good addition.

Irving will wait to hear from Team USA to see if he might have a place but will “do what’s best for me.”
“Of course, Team USA still has a decision to make,” he explained. “… honestly, if I can be an Aussie at some point in my career and play for the Australian team, it would be good.”

Instead of the usual All-Star festivities, players play over the NHL in a round-robin tournament with Team USA, Team Canada, Team Finland and Team Sweden Walking Head-To-Head to see who will earn boasts rights. It will be Team USA and Team Canada in the championship game on Thursday night before the second half of the NHL season begins.
