She suggested the judges miss more bad calls. Plum’s anxiety seemed to be further aggravated by her claim that her tendency to go to the curve should justify more whistles in her favor.

“And I get a fine for saying this, but as I drive (to the basket) more than anyone in the league, so shooting six free kicks is f —– g absurd,” said the two-time wnba champion. “And I got scratches on my face, I have scratches on my body, and these guards on this other team get these Ticky Tack violations and I’m tired of it. I am buried like any possession.”

A admittedly “very frustrated” Plum added that she “talk (s) to the judges are lovely” and say a prayer “before the game.”

Sparks coach Lynne Roberts’ feelings were largely in line with the team’s star player. “The opposing team is allowed to defend her with excessive contact … We have to talk to the league about it, but that’s not right.”

Plum then said jokingly that she would “cover” her coach if the league decided to issue one.

Monday’s loss dropped the Sparks record to 3-7. Plum is facing his former team, Las Vegas Acer, Wednesday, as WNBA’s Commissioner Cup continues. Plum won two WNBA championships during his eight-year race with the franchise.
