The Ravi Road police made a significant breakthrough on Thursday by arresting a suspect involved in the manufacture and distribution of IS, a very dangerous and illegal drug, in Lahore.
The accused, identified as Tanveer, was caught in the manufacture of the drug at a provisional factory.
According to authorities, Tanveer was seen in a video preparing ice cream, which led to his arrest after a hidden operation. After his capture, police recovered 2,160 grams of prepared ice along with chemicals used in its production, a cylinder oven, plastic bottles and other materials related to the manufacturing process.
Tanveer is believed to have been good at producing IS, and he allegedly treated his sales throughout the region. His arrest marks a significant battle for the local drug trafficking.
An official case has been filed against Tanveer and investigations are in progress. Superintendent of Police (SP) City, Captain (Ret.) Qazi Ali Raza, praised the efforts of Ravi Road Police Station and the team involved in the operation. He also awarded certificates for appreciation to Station House Officer (SHO) and his team for their role in the successful operation.
“The people responsible for the destruction of our youth through dangerous drugs like IS do not get any easing,” said SP City Captain (Ret.) Qazi Ali Raza.
Authorities have promised to continue their crashes on operational operations and their distribution networks to protect society, especially the younger generation.
