The Lahore Traffic Police have completed preparations to ensure smooth traffic management during the upcoming TRI-NIW SERIES, with more than 1,000 traffic officers to be implemented on duty.
In addition to the implementation of officers, police will also use 20 forfill lifters and four collapse vehicles to handle any cases of incorrect parking and to clear roads quickly, Express News reported.
According to Lahores Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Dr. Athar Waheed, spectators participating in cricket battles will be able to park their vehicles in designated parking spaces, including areas around Government College, Liberty, CBD Near Center Point and LDA Plaza.
He assured the public that no ways will be permanently closed during the event.
However, traffic may be temporarily stopped during team departures, but roads are opened again immediately after the teams have passed.
Dr. Waheed emphasized that major roads, including Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road and Ferozepur Road, would remain open to traffic all day.
CTO also advised citizens to avoid parking in limited areas and park only in the designated places to ensure even traffic flow.
Traffic updates are made available via the Rasta app and Rasta FM 88.6 for public attention.
The Lahore traffic police have assured that the event will not cause significant disruptions to everyday commuters, and citizens are encouraged to follow traffic guidelines for a trouble-free experience.
