MURREE:
Heavy monsoon rains triggered a landslide in the lower masoot area near Murree, causing a large stone to go down into residential houses.
A house was completely destroyed and two other joints partial damage. Miraculously, no losses were reported.
The incident took place late at night in the village of Lohar Masoot Banat, part of the Union Council Daryagali, where a massive rock rolled down a hill and hit three homes. Parvez Abbasi House was completely torn, while properties belonging to Kashif and Chan Zeb Abbasi sustained damage to walls and windows. Residents fear that additional rockfalls may occur that pose a serious threat to society.
Due to alleged negligence from the motorway department, blocked drains and water channels have transformed streets into streams, which has caused disadvantages for both locals and tourists.
