A brand new Dune Awakening Trailer has been released showing the expansive Open World Planet of Arrakis.
Multiplayer Dune The game is only months away and to prepare for Launch Funcom has released new recordings that give a deep look at the open world of the game.
The video, which you can see below, dives deep into how investigation will be an important feature. To survive and cross the desert planet, players need to collect materials to create a shelter, their stillsuit and their first vehicle crossing great distances.
The footage also gave us a new look at the vehicle’s scanning module, which can be used to scan for resources in smaller areas, as well as how certain cliffs can be scaled to start a survey probe that will reveal larger areas of terrain, shipwrecks and abandoned imperialist stations.
Alongside vehicles, players will be able to use the Shigawire Claw and Suspensor Belt to cross more difficult to reach areas and upgrade their vehicles with new modules.

In the game’s playoff area, the deep desert, players must pay attention to Coriolis Storms. These are deadly planetary storms that celebrate regularly over the map and change the terrain of the card every time.
After each storm, however, new resources and locations will be revealed, which can then be scouted to make cards to sell on the exchange to other players.
Dune Awakening Officially, on May 20, 2025, for PC via Steam. Although the game has been confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, there is not a release date for the console yet.
In the meantime, players can now download the official benchmark mode that allows Steam users to test their hardware performance and system compatibility.
The characteristics are also available and once a character is made, they can be saved and later imported to the game at the launch.
