Karachi:

Lawyers’ protests against the Hyderabad police continued another day and blocked traffic on bypass road next to Wadhu Wah Gate in Qasimabad.

Tents have been established, and support from various political and religious parties has strengthened the protesting lawyers who require the removal of SSP Hyderabad, Dr. Farukh Ali Lanjar.

Qaumi Awami Tehreeks President Ayaz Latif Palijo, Sindh United Party’s Head, Syed Zain Shah and others visited the protesting lawyers and assured them for their support.

Numerous lawyers from different cities in the Hyderabad division also joined Sit-in, which began Thursday afternoon.

Dealers’ associations in Hyderabad, the second largest city in Sindh after Karachi, issued statements in favor of the lawyer’s claims.

Lawyers from Mirpurkhas, Tando Allah Yar, Mehrabpur and Jamshoro also organized protests and sit-ins and blocked various highways.

Chaning slogans against police warned the lawyers the government that their fight would continue until SSP was removed from his position.

Sources informed that the provincial government has contacted the lawyers for conversations, but a stalemate is still over the question of Lanjar’s removal.
