Leaders hail unity and strategic maturity

Islamabad:

Pakistan’s political and religious leadership was bent by a landmark military and diplomatic triumph that broke into cheer as the country’s regional stature rose after a ceasefire agreement with India, clumsy after a thunderous reaction brought New Delhi to the heel.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman declared the ceasefire for a validation of Pakistan’s unity, faith and emergency preparedness.

“It is proven that Islam, the belief and the spirit of jihad can unite the Pakistani nation,” he said.

“Pakistan now has superiority over India. I hope the government does not lose a won war at the negotiating table.”

He called for a assertive diplomacy and added, “The time has come to raise the Kashmir question with full strength. The nation accepts no compromise with Kashmir. Progress must be made according to UN decisions.”

He also demanded full enforcement of the Indus Waters Treaty, which India unilaterally suspended in the wake of the Pahagam attack.

‘Divine Help’

“The people of Pakistan also express their deep appreciation of the Pakistani media dealing with maturity and responsibility. Refused to participate in the false news screen in which the Indian media drowned, Pakistani media stuck on facts, vulnerable Indian lies and maintained the integrity of the national narrative,” she said.

The minister pointed out that even international media exposed the propaganda of India and proven that the world recognizes the truth over noise.
