- Leaked images show a small, modular portable camera
- Suggests that DJI Osmo Nano will compete with Insta360 GO 3S
- Release date rumored for next month, in front of another new insta360 model
They may be grainy but leaked pictures of Dji Osmo Nano have got me excited. If the still images are legitimate – and they look pretty convincing – DJI could be launching its smallest, most portable action camera to date. It’s big news if you are a creator who shoots first -person content to socially. It also seems to be touching things up on the action cam market.
Judging by the images that you can see in the embedded X post below is the rumored Osmo Nano shooting for the Insta360 GO 3S. This magnetic -mounted action camera sets the standard for hands -free filming. With a small design and flexible mounting options, it allows you to easily catch creative POV recordings. For that reason, it takes the top modular honors on our list of the best action cameras.
Based on the leaked DJI Osmo Nano set images, it has a similar size camera device that can be magnetically attached to clothing. There also seems to be an optional modular screen block for those who want to frame shots or review shooting on the go. Of course, DJI has not confirmed anything – but the leaks come from a reliable source. The product certainly looks.
👉 The fight for the market has just begun. Who chooses the user: @djiglobale cameras or @insta360 cameras? #Djiosmonano #insta360 pic.twitter.com/v4zsvbjjj92June 12, 2025
DJI should go?
The leaked images-owe sent to Chinese social media before being picked up by DJI Leaker @Quadro_News-Viser camera clipped at the front of a t-shirt that is probably held in place by a magnetic back. Due to the low resolution of the still images, it is difficult to see if there is a protective house.
Of course, DJI has form when it comes to modular action cameras. DJI Action 2 launched back in 2021 with an innovative modular design. It broke away from the established GoPro-style form factor in favor of a small, square camera device that could be magnetically attached to various modules, including a battery and display block.
While the action 2 had its fans, it was not the most compelling proof of concept. It ran warm and fought in low light. Waterproofing also did not extend to the modules. In short, it did not spit the first -person use case. Ultimately, DJI returned to a traditional action -cam design with DJI Osmo Action 3.
That’s why Osmo Nano leakage is so exciting. It feels like DJI’s second turn on something that could really interfere with the portable camera space. It also represents a diversification for DJI: Not happy to go up against GoPro in the market for mud-and-nature, it suggests that DJI is also eager to accommodate relaxed creators.
If you vlog, cook or just register content from a natural, human perspective, Osmo Nano can be the most interesting DJI product this year. A featherweight, clip-and-glem action camera that lets your hands completely free? It is a proposal other than anything in its line-up.
The people of the leaked images also appear to carry microphones, suggesting that DJI Osmo Nano will support audio recording via a wireless microphone, such as the DJI Mic Mini. It was a feature that was missing from Osmo Action 2 – and an already offered by Osmo Action 5 Pro.
Of course, there are still many unknowns. We do not know the specifications, the video resolution, stabilization or battery life. We don’t even know if ‘Osmo Nano’ is the last name. After all, DJI has dropped and revived osmo -branding before. But the form factor alone suggests a very different product than DJI’s modern cameras. If exactly, it may be the start of a new line aimed at creators who are more interested in portability than control.
I look closely for more details. If it’s really a first-person camera that mixes DJI’s imaging designs with Insta360-style portability, Osmo Nano could become the laptop camera to beat. Part of it will come to reliability and user experience, factors that I will only be able to assess when it will be available for review.
Based on other leaks, I don’t have to wait long to find out: As we recently reported, the model could break the coverage as the beginning of July 2025 with the DJI 360 rash of being DJI’s first 360-degree camera.
