Maxwell Hairston’s NFL dream became a reality in April when Buffalo Bills chose him out of Kentucky in the first round of the draft.
But when Hairston prepares for his first NFL training camp, Bill’s Rookie Defensive Back is facing serious legal concerns. Hairston is named in a lawsuit that accuses the 21-year-old sexual disparity when he was a student athlete in 2021.
The trial was brought on Tuesday at the federal court in Kentucky according to Associated Press.

ESPN reported that the prosecutor is an Ohio woman who also attended the University of Kentucky and lived in the same dormitory as Hairston in 2021.
Pakinomist Digital was not immediately able to reach Hairston’s representatives of comment.

In the trial, the woman claims Hairston entered her dormitory without being invited. The woman then expressed “her non-interest in engaging in intercourse with him several times,” according to the trial. Hairston then removed “by force by force her clothes and sexually assaulted her.

The bills had no comments and referred to statements from general manager Brandon Beane in April during the draft.
Beane said at the time that the team had “fully investigated” an accusation of sexual assault from 2021 involving Hairston, whom he called “an impeccable child.”

“So it’s unfortunate when such things are attached to someone’s name. And in this case it doesn’t seem to be something there,” Bean said.
Hairston spent three seasons playing on Kentucky. He has a chance to win a starting job at Cornerback this season.
The bills have been out since they have completed their mandatory practice in mid -June and will return later this month at the start of the training camp.
