Teyana Taylor and Leonardo DiCaprio on screen chemistry in their new film, One match after another, Hit different but off-screen, they became immediate friends.
In a recent chat with New York Times On Monday, September 8, The Costars revealed that their friendship started long before filming.
When asked how Taylor was thrown as perfidia, DiCaprio said, “I’ve known Teyana for a long time.”
“Paul and I talked about who would play this lightning rod of a character that was a radical, but also someone who was able to manipulate,” he explained. “The echoes of her character recreate throughout the film, and every character is emotionally scared of perfidia.”
The Titanic Star added, “So we knew we had to get someone who could not only be bold and free -speaking, but bring the improvisational talent for truth at the moment … she just embodied that character in a way that I didn’t think anyone else could. We are all left like Carnage after she comes on screen and picks up the pieces of our lives.”
Taylor revealed how their friendship began: “Funny things: Me and Leo actually met at Diana Ross’s birthday party a few years back and immediately became best buds. It’s my wingman, my partner in crime!”
In the Paul Thomas Anderson-In-Instrued action thriller, the actors’ off-screen bonding has clearly translated into screen chemistry.
