Levi McConaughey has entered the limelight and revealed the acting advice that his father, Matthew McConaughey, shared with him in front of his first film.
Monday, March 10 at the premiere of his father’s new film, tHe competes with Amziah King, At the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, the 16-year-old budding actor gave his first red carpet interview.
Conversation with PEOPLELevi discussed his first acting role in the upcoming age movie Way of the Warrior Kid (2024).
When asked if his father gave him any advice, Levi said Interstellar Star “gave me a lot of advice and he was able to mentoring me in a few different ways.”
“But I would say that the most important thing for acting and forgiving my French is no b ***** in your bones and owns what you make, and make a choice, whether it ends up being the right one or the wrong one – commits it to it and knows what you say,” he added.
Matthew also shed light on the advice he gave his son who quipped: “One, you have a natural ability. Two, how do we get specific to know where you are coming from and where to go? “
The Real detective Actor continued to mention that “Best acting for my money is when an actor is trapped in action, doing something. Meaning, where were you before and where are you going if the camera rolls all the time. So you get into the stage, so the scene doesn’t feel like a fresh start and a fresh ending.”
He continued, “The other thing is, take risks. Don’t be afraid of fooling yourself – I did it lots of times, and it’s much easier to go big and get back to reality than it is to come under and push it to more energy later.”
“It’s much easier to go big, fool yourself, be embarrassed and then bring it down to reality than it is to start with low energy and go, hello, we need more,” Matthew said.
