LAHORE:

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has constituted a full bench to hear petitions challenging the Punjab Property Ownership Law.

The three-member bench — headed by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum and comprising Justice Muhammad Jawad Zafar and Justice Abher Gul Khan — will begin hearing the petitions against the property from February 23.

On December 22, the LHC issued an interim order suspending the operation of the recently passed Punjab Protection of Ownership of Immovable Property Ordinance, 2025, which empowered deputy commissioner-led committees to settle property disputes.
