LHC is looking for government response to Imran nephew’s plea

Lahore:

Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought arguments from the federal government about the objections raised by the court’s registrar office at a plea filing by Hassan Niazi, a nephew of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was sentenced to ten years in prison in a 9th of May.

Hassan, who was prosecuted by a military court of his involvement in the actions of vandalism following the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9, 2023, approached LHC through Faisal Siddiqi spokesman who challenged his tradition to the army as well as trial of military authorities.

A division bench consisting of justice sewed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Justice Tariq Mehmood Bajwa, heard the placement and issued the federal government to September 16 to tackle office changes.

The LHC registrar office raised objections to the petition for not annexing a certified copy of the commander’s order with the case file and not to approach the appropriate forum.

The petitioner’s lawyer claimed that after his client’s arrest in the Jinnah House Attack case he was never produced before any anti-terrorism court (ATC) or other civil courts.
